If a custom shortcut is involved in a change, take appropriate action. Use Beyond Compare to compare the previous OOTB file with the current one to see what changed (especially if any shortcuts are involved) and to aid with the next step.Copy the previous keyboard shortcuts file ("KeyboardShortcuts2017-KAI.xml", etc.) from the previous custom directory into the current one and rename it ("KeyboardShortcuts2018-KAI.xml", etc.). ![]() That way, if there are other changes (from a user's customization of other commands, add-ins installed, etc.), they won't be affected. RECOMMENDED: Manually create a custom file (using Beyond Compare) that only includes lines for the commands being changed (shortcuts added or removed) instead of just using the GUI and exporting everything.
